Responsibilities

Defining network hardware requirements and performance capabilities in support of specific client
RFI, RFP, and Deployment Contract Awards
Perform network design activities for the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) elements of the total solution. Includes modeling activities necessary to estimate capacity requirements based on client requirements
Maintaining, evaluating, analyzing, and utilizing high performance databases associated with client-provided and purchased data
Supporting engineering field trials and day-to-day support of System Solutions function
Providing mapping, demographic, and geographic data management services
Working with large amounts of data utilizing various RF models and mapping applications
Continuing to validate and evolve RF and data models to ensure that the current model used for projecting network solutions is in conformance with the latest technology developments and new product introductions

Required

Good written and oral communication skills
Strong technical documentation skills
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and deliver against deadlines
Highly self-motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Employees must complete the online ISO Core Training annually
College degree
4 + years equivalent work experience

Preferred

Knowledge of Electric / Water / Gas utility metering industry desired
Antenna knowledge related to propagation models desired
Experience with Radio Frequency technology (low power RF preferred)
Knowledge of Radio Frequency propagation models desired
Experience with mapping software (e.g., MapInfo)
Experience working with demographic and geographic data
