The UX Intern will contribute to various design projects, collaborate with senior designers, and help create user-centered experiences for the Vivint mobile app.

Responsibilities

Contributing to discovery and research efforts

Going wide on ideation and narrowing to valuable solutions via testing and iteration

Contributing to the design of end-to-end product experiences on the Mobile App team

Collaborates and communicates with their extended product development team

Designing within the Vivint Design Library

Contributing to and maintaining the Vivint Design Library

Designing for accessibility needs

Proactively surfacing issues that could impact timelines or user experience

Design compelling experiences that will excite everyone who comes in contact with them

Organizing, labeling, and structuring your files in a way that is understandable to others... allowing them to find and move through and comprehend the information you’re sharing

Creating prototypes

Creating robust handoff documentation for engineering via our standardized handoff process

Working with engineers during and after the development of your products to ensure that the design intent is achieved

Required

Knowledgeable in a broad range of design methodologies

A PDF or online portfolio demonstrating a thoughtful design process that clearly shows your ability to design pleasant and functional end to end experiences

A passion for design with a high attention to detail

Solid visual design skills

Experience at all stages of the design process - making wireframes, building prototypes, crafting high-fidelity visual designs

Comfort designing in Figma
