American Industrial Transport - AITX is seeking a Corporate Counsel who will provide legal support and collaborate with various departments to draft and negotiate commercial agreements. The role involves ensuring the company's interests are protected while aligning with business objectives.

Responsibilities

Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements including, but not limited to, Master Lease Agreements, Riders, Amendments, third-party agreements, RFP’s, Letters of Intent, Confidentiality Agreements, Licensing Agreements, etc

Responsible for performing redlines to and negotiation of all legal documents

Reviews work performed by the Contract Specialists

Conduct legal research in various areas of the law, relevant industry laws, rules and regulations

Provide support to the Sr. Directors of Legal, Compliance and Risk Management with insurance claims/loss incidents related to damage, product liability, accidents, and workers’ compensation

Required

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admission to and in good standing with the Illinois bar

Two (2) to four (4) years' experience with a focus on contract drafting, review and negotiation

Self-motivator with demonstrated experience with attention to detail, written and oral communication, organization, multi-tasking, working in a team atmosphere and adhering to tight deadlines

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and legal research skills

Strategic thinker with the ability to balance legal and business considerations

Desire to gain in-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
