Responsibilities
Complete fire alarm drawings utilizing current NFPS standards, project specifications, manufacture recommendations, and best practices from the industry
Accurately and thoroughly layout, design, and render code compliant life safety alarm systems and related projects within stipulated timeframes
Collaborate with the Sales, Project Manager’s, and technical staff teams to interpret project specifications
Support less-senior designers’ skills development in Fire Alarm design
Qualification
Required
Experience in Fire Alarm, Clean Agent, Pre-Action Detection, AutoCAD, and VESDA
Learn and comply with NFPA standards and other applicable federal, state, and local codes
NICET II or NICET III certification in Alarm Design
Critical thinker with mathematical aptitude
Strong attention to detail
Ability to read and understand construction blueprints
Quickly adjusts to a changing environment
Successfully manages priorities under time constraints
Available as needed
Able to travel to client sites when necessary
