Responsibilities

Design, create and implement database systems based on end user requirements

Provide ongoing technical support for global database deployment in multiple geographic regions

Provide incidence support to IT Help Desk and application users as needed

Provide technical leadership on projects that require database administrator resources

Work with cross-functional departments to develop optimal architecture and deployment strategies

Work with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide solutions

Manage various projects within the allotted timeline and budget

Implement recovery strategy and execute disaster recovery exercises as needed

Perform database and application patching as defined by vendors while adhering to internal change management process requirements

Perform instance cloning for testing and validation purposes

Provide on-call 24/7 support for mission critical production systems

Monitor production systems and perform system tuning as needed

Work with IT infrastructure on administration of operation systems

Assist with developing and maintaining data security processes

Perform cloud infrastructure and applications provisioning and support

Required

A 4-year degree in computer related field

5+ years of database administration experience

High availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) methodology experience

Ability to work nonstandard hours and/or holidays as needed

Oracle applications experience

Cloud-based systems experience
