Supply Chain Sourcing Manager

Responsibilities
Leads the organization in management and development of the Sourcing function with the goal of improved service, efficient operations, and optimize working capital through purchasing, vendor management, and proposal responsiveness
Focus on improving operating results, working capital utilization, profitability, and collaborating with all organization functions
Ensure that Sourcing functions are aligned with overall company goals and strategies
Manage relationships with suppliers to achieve best outcomes for cost and delivery
Manage risk relating to purchased materials, on time delivery, and associated costs
Develop strategies for efficient Sourcing operations, optimize order quantities while managing material costs, and improve service to meet customer requirements
Development of the supply chain team, including attracting, developing and retaining talent
Management of a cross functional supply chain staff, consisting of electrical, chemical, hardware, metal, outsourced machining, and MRO Buyers
Exhibits values of teamwork, integrity, accountability, and respect
Proactively identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain to minimize price and delivery disruption
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers including favorable payment terms and conditions
Ensure ethical standards are met
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience with procurement or supply chain management required
10+ years of experience with procurement for a Department of War, Aviation, Automotive or Medical equipment manufacturer required
Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with peers and supervisors
Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary
Ability to adhere to workplace rules
Advanced knowledge and application of MS Office Suite including Excel
Preferred
Master's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
Experience with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) procurement preferred
Experience with ISO 9000 or AS9100 procurement compliance preferred
APICS certified preferred
