Responsibilities

Constant watch for errors. Realizes the consequences that medical information errors can have on patient care

Initiative to personally make appropriate corrections and communicate errors to others for corrective action

Communicates serious errors to the Director to ensure correct handling and to prevent recurrence

Consistently established office routines follow to keep work flowing. Shows ability to adapt to special situations or temporary lack of staff

Consults with department directors to ensure that patients receive accurate instruction regarding technical or medical information pertaining to outpatient exams

Demonstrate proficiency in operation of computer systems, i.e., Meditech, PCI, IMPAC, MS office, etc

Maintains responsibility for and completes clerical tasks efficiently and demonstrates understanding of the receptionist’s functions
