Responsibilities

To possess the understanding of and the commitment to the University Mission

To answer questions either by phone, email, and video or in person, and conduct follow-up communications with students, parents, faculty and staff as needed to ensure the award process is completed in a timely manner

To assist in the collection and verification of data ensuring the information is accurate and timely

To provide the first-line contact for students, parents, faculty and staff for the Financial Aid Office

To counsel prospective students and their families regarding the financial assistance process and the possibilities for aid at Cumberland University

To package aid for an assigned caseload using federal, state and institutional guidelines

To complete the award letter for an assigned caseload as the awards and student applications are received and processed

To maintain current knowledge of financial assistance in Higher Education, either through studies or seminars

Performs other duties/tasks as may be assigned and/or requested by the supervisor and/or superior

Participates in and completes a Performance Management Process, which follows the guidelines set forth by the University
