Responsibilities

Assist with soil sampling and field measurements at research sites across Nebraska
Conduct laboratory analyses related to soil health indicators and biogeochemistry
Learn and apply techniques in microbial ecology, soil biogeochemistry, spectrometry, and soil health assessment

Qualification

Soil health assessmentMicrobial ecologySoil biogeochemistryData management softwareField work experienceLift 50 lbsValid driver’s license

Required

Associate's degree in agriculture, agronomy, or ag related field + 2 years' experience in agriculture or field work experience OR
Bachelor's degree in agronomy, environmental science, bio systems engineering or ag related field
Additional years of related experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis
Knowledge of and ability to use data management software (ex. Excel)
Ability to work outdoors to collect soil samples
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Valid driver's license and ability to meet University driver eligibility requirements
