Fire Protection Engineer
Apogee Consulting Group is a full-service Architecture and Engineering firm specializing in healthcare design. They are seeking a highly motivated Fire Protection Engineer to research, develop, and produce mechanical construction drawings while applying industry expertise and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
Design fire protection and plumbing systems (e.g., sprinkler layouts, fire pump sizing, piping, sanitary, medical gas, domestic water heating, ductwork)
Perform system calculations, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, and equipment selections
Develop construction documents and job-specific specifications
Conduct field investigations, site visits, and construction inspections
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients
Serve as Engineer of Record and mentor junior staff
Ensure compliance with codes such as NFPA, ASHRAE, and IBC
High proficiency in computer-aided design tools and software
Qualification
Required
Healthcare Experience Is Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited)
8+ years as a licensed professional engineer
Revit, Auto CAD, MEP, MS Office Suite, Trace 3D
Current PE License (required)
NCEES Registration
Licensed in at least one U.S. state
Travel: up to 20% depending on project
Preferred
Certified Plumbing Designer
LEED, Green Globes, or other sustainability credentials
