Responsibilities
Master the development environment and processes, including Linux, Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, lab tools, code/document inspections, and testing
Debug and address specific issues through reproduction, resolution, testing, and inspections
Develop firmware/software for bare metal systems and Linux, working on projects ranging from adding new test/debug commands to enabling new coherent modulation types. This includes designing, coding, documenting, testing, and inspections
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
Proficiency in the C programming language
Working knowledge of embedded systems, including drivers, mutual exclusion, synchronization, interrupt handling, and inter-process communication
Understanding of coherent optics, optical and electrical communication techniques
Preferred
Familiarity with optical modulation concepts like QPSK and QAM
Experience in low-level real-time software/firmware development
Ability to interpret CPU hardware architectures and timing diagrams
Knowledge of bare metal systems, Linux, and Linux-based software development environments
Understanding of control algorithms such as PI, PID, LQR, and adaptive control algorithms
