Responsibilities

Establish relationships, negotiate, and develop carriers regularly via phone and email in order to develop core and dedicated carriers
Ensure customer satisfaction and high service levels where freight is picked up and delivered on time using safe, reliable carriers
Meet or exceed team financial and individual performance goals
Develop knowledge of carrier supply and demand, spot market pricing, and factors that impact freight markets
Carrier profile management- learn carrier requirements, needs, contacts and update carrier profiles regularly. Be an advocate for the carrier on all levels
Acquire knowledge of freight network/lanes- know what internal freight lanes we run and find carriers that match these lanes
Conduct quarterly business reviews with executive leadership at your carrier partners
Present performance metrics, discuss growth opportunities, and address any challenges or concerns

Required

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
2-4 years of experience in carrier sales, logistics, or a related field
Track record of growing carrier/sales relationships in a fast-paced environment
Negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

Preferred

1-2 years of brokerage experience and/or related experience in transportation
Bilingual/Multilingual skills are highly sought
