Responsibilities
Responsible for the creation of high-quality, tailored proposals in response to RFPs and RFQs
Collaborate with subject matter experts, operations, and leadership to develop winning narratives
Ensure compliance with client requirements, accuracy, and timely submissions
Develop polished interview materials, presentations, and supporting visuals
Manage multiple proposals and pursuits simultaneously under tight deadlines
Assist in the development and execution of annual marketing plans and campaigns
Maintain brand consistency in proposals, presentations, and collateral
Collaborate with design teams to develop graphics, layouts, and visual aids
Support targeted marketing initiatives to strengthen market presence
Conduct market research, analyze trends, and provide input on pursuit strategies
Craft clear, persuasive content across marketing and business development materials
Track proposal and campaign performance, providing insights for continuous improvement
Support business development efforts through event participation and client engagement
Qualification
Required
4+ years of experience in proposal writing, marketing, or communications (AEC industry strongly preferred)
Strong knowledge of construction terminology, delivery methods, and contract types
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint required)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Must reside within commuting distance of Virginia Beach, VA (on-site role)
Preferred
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint)
