Program Coordinator, Orientation

Responsibilities
Supports the first-year experience team in the planning and execution of year-long orientation initiatives designed to promote the success of all first-year students
Oversees the hiring, training, and leadership development of 125+ orientation leaders and 15 student directors in support of fall and spring orientation
Considers specific programs and responses to student retention interventions and known populations of concern
Qualification
Required
Understanding of, and commitment to, assisting students in their transition to college
Ability to manage projects and plan successful events in line with an overall mission towards student success
Knowledge of effective strategies for programmatic assessment
Ability to foster a collaborative environment across organizational lines with a range of constituents
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present information to a variety of audiences
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with 6 years of relevant experience
Preferred
Demonstrated experience with initiatives supporting the successful transition of traditional-aged first-year college students
Demonstrated commitment to building programs and services with diverse student groups in mind
Proven student-centered and customer-service oriented professionalism
Experience developing and implementing assessment and evaluation in achieving continuous programmatic improvements
