CN is a premium railroad committed to safety and service, and they are seeking an Intern for the Environmental team. The role involves designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards, gathering business requirements, collaborating with SMEs, and ensuring data security and compliance.

Responsibilities

Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards to meet the business stakeholders’ needs
Gather and understand business requirements for data visualization and analysis
Collaborate with data SMEs to acquire clean and transform data for reporting purposes
Create complex DAX calculations and measures to support data analysis
Ensure data security and compliance with best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Power BI reports
Provide training and support to end users on using Power BI

Required

Proficiency in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation
Strong understanding of data modeling and data visualization concepts
Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) for data manipulation and extraction
Knowledge of DAX for creating calculations
Familiarity with data warehouse concepts
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
Adaptability to changing business requirements
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Some travel may be required
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or relevant fields
