Inside Sales Manager (Industrial Products)

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an Inside Sales / Operations Manager to oversee the management of branch locations. This role focuses on managing inventory, controlling expenses, and ensuring customer satisfaction while providing exceptional service and optimizing operations.

Responsibilities

Continuously develop product knowledge through online resources such as vendor-sponsored training, self-directed learning, internet research, product documentation, and technical manuals
Open the office daily and answer incoming phone calls
Identify patterns and trends in customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction to inform improvements
Manage all daily operations of the Distribution Center to ensure revenue goals are met or exceeded
Monitor the quality, quantity, and efficiency of inventory movement and storage
Track committed shipment dates to guarantee all promised deliveries are fulfilled
Troubleshoot customer issues and research to find products that meet customer needs
Communicate with vendors as needed
Receive, process, and expedite customer orders and quotations promptly
Collaborate effectively with sales, sales support, and management teams to support growth initiatives
Conduct inventory cycle counts in accordance with company policy
Analyze monthly inventory reports to ensure GMROI and targeted turn ratios are achieved
Allocate and assign staff resources based on changing needs to maximize associate productivity
Ensure all associates adhere to the organization’s health and safety procedures
Manage weekly requirements for the organization’s Customer Relations Management System (CRM)
Oversee facility and equipment maintenance, ensuring the warehouse and office remain clean and orderly
Run open order and branch order reports for review
Perform office duties such as balancing petty cash, writing checks, and balancing the checkbook
Resolve employee disputes or refer issues to Human Resources as appropriate
Foster a professional work environment that emphasizes teamwork and mutual respect among employees at all levels
Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including pulling orders, packaging materials, locating misplaced inventory, and unloading or loading trucks
Stock shelves by putting away incoming materials
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required

Strong inside sales experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work with diverse personalities
Leadership skills for managing warehouse staff and conducting performance reviews
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to visualize technical concepts
Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs

Preferred

Industry experience in hardware, or industrial supply
Warehouse Management: 5 years
Ability to Commute: Ocala, FL 34471
