Academic Scholar - Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor HS, General Internal Medicine
The University at Buffalo is seeking qualified Hospitalists with exceptional clinical and academic skills to serve as clinical faculty. The role involves overseeing patient care at affiliated hospital systems and providing teaching opportunities for medical students and residents.

Responsibilities
Hospitalists admit and round on all patients assigned to the Hospitalist Service (primarily adult, med/surg, telemetry patients) and consults on other services
During an average shift, Physicians will round on an average of 14-16 patient with 1-2 admits per day
Common conditions managed are congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, diabetes, stroke, acute coronary syndrome, and sepsis
The Hospitalists teams are not responsible for rapid response or codes
The successful candidate will be expected to take advantage of the many opportunities for teaching medical students and supervising and training internal medicine residents, based on experience
Qualification
Required
Exceptional clinical and academic skills
Experience in managing adult, med/surg, telemetry patients
Ability to admit and round on patients assigned to the Hospitalist Service
Experience in managing common conditions such as congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, diabetes, stroke, acute coronary syndrome, and sepsis
Experience in teaching medical students and supervising and training internal medicine residents
