Responsibilities

Produce an average of 1 video and 2-3 quick-hit articles per day focused on the hottest topic of the day

Tie state and national trending topics back to the Treasure Coast

Quickly create and post videos on TCPalm, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other social media

Develop our coverage based on Google Trends, social media and USA Today Co.’s in-house analytics

Mastery of SEO is essential

Proactive collaboration with everyone in the TCPalm newsroom, Florida network, and USA Today corporation

Qualification

Required

A bachelor's or master's in communications, journalism or a related field

Strong skills in spelling, grammar, punctuation, AP style, communication, news judgment, SEO headline writing

Ability to produce photos and videos on a smartphone

Ability to produce maps, charts, timelines and other graphics on in-house platforms

Proficiency on all social media platforms, especially TikTok

Being comfortable branding yourself and promoting your content

Ability to multitask under deadline pressure and work efficiently and collaboratively

An acceptance and understanding of how digital analytics inform our coverage, and a willingness to evaluate how content is resonating with our audience and to change what's not

Working nights, weekends and holidays as needed

Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and minimum state-required liability insurance
