Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end project billing for consulting engagements
Prepare, review and issue accurate client invoices
Track billable hours, expenses and project budgets
Partner with project managers to ensure billing aligns with contract terms
Research and resolve billing discrepancies and client questions
Maintain organized billing schedules and supporting documentation
Support month-end close and project-related reporting

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in accountingProject Billing experienceConsulting billing experienceExcel skillsDeadline managementAttention to detail

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting (required, non-negotiable)

Preferred

Prior experience as a Project Billing Accountant or similar role
Consulting or professional services billing experience
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with detailed financial data
High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
Ability to work hybrid, onsite two days per week in downtown Chicago
Availability to start ASAP
