Divisional Vice President, Enterprise Business Operations

Responsibilities

Design, document, and evolve REI’s operating model to align strategic, financial, and operational cadences; reduce duplication; and improve efficiency across divisions
Establish enterprise governance that clarifies decision rights, enhances transparency, and accelerates cross-functional alignment without adding unnecessary complexity
Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable process improvements that reduce friction, optimize resources, and enhance productivity across the organization
Create and manage an integrated enterprise planning calendar that connects key strategy, budgeting, operational and talent deliverables and milestones
Develop and maintain KPI scorecards and dashboards that centralize performance metrics, promote accountability, and enable data-driven decision-making
Lead a center of excellence for the organization. Consult and advise enterprise initiative leaders and facilitate stakeholder alignment to minimize disruption, accelerate adoption of new processes, and embed continuous improvement
Lead program management for enterprise operating calendar, and act as center of excellence and community lead for Program Management across the co-op
Lead enterprise PM team, established to support highest priority initiatives
Lead cross-functional teams to align on process priorities and execution
Facilitate enterprise-wide workshops and process design sessions to strengthen alignment and clarity

Required

15+ years of experience in large-scale operations, business transformation, or enterprise process management roles
10+ years leading people and cross-functional initiatives
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Technology, or related field required
Strong background working within or alongside retail, consumer goods, or multi-channel organizations, with a solid understanding of how enterprise operations connect—from product creation to customer experience
PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification
Proven experience designing and running enterprise or corporate operating models in complex, matrixed organizations
Strong strategic planning, governance, and prioritization expertise
Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment and influence at the executive level
Experience in change management, organizational design, and performance measurement
Experience leading enterprise-level operations or transformation initiatives that integrate multiple business units or functions
Proven success in designing governance models, decision frameworks, or enterprise planning cadences that improved clarity and execution
Background in strategy execution or enterprise portfolio management that connects vision to outcomes
Track record of identifying and implementing process improvements that delivered measurable efficiency and cost savings
Exceptional communication and facilitation skills—able to synthesize complex information into actionable clarity
Builds capacity of individuals and teams through effective employee development, involvement, communication, and supervision efforts
Creates a strong, mutually supportive work spirit and culture where people can do their best
Establishes trust and inspires others
Makes effective organization and people decisions in a manner consistent with REI's values and ethics
Delivers on commitments and holds others to same
Champions the organization and advocates solutions in the overall Company's best interest
Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities

Master's degree preferred
