Lead Deal Desk Analyst

Responsibilities
Deal Structuring & Analysis: Collaborate with Sales and Finance to create custom deal structures, analyze pricing trends, and optimize discounting strategies to drive revenue and profitability
Pricing & Packaging: Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of our pricing strategies and packaging models, ensuring they align with customer needs, market conditions, and business objectives
Ownership & Independence: You’ll manage the deal desk process end-to-end, and resolve complex pricing and deal-related questions with urgency and confidence
Process Optimization: Continuously improve and streamline the deal review and approval process to drive efficiency and reduce time to close for the sales team
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product teams to ensure smooth and compliant deal execution
Reporting & Insights: Provide actionable insights and detailed reporting on pricing trends, discounting strategies, and deal performance
Training & Support: Equip the sales team with tools, training, and guidance on pricing and packaging to ensure effective deal execution
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in a Deal Desk or Pricing Strategy role, ideally within a fast-paced SaaS or tech startup environment
Expertise in pricing analysis, data-driven decision making, and financial modeling
Comfortable navigating ambiguity, taking initiative, and driving projects forward with minimal direction
Ability to think strategically, resolve complex deal issues, and take full ownership of pricing and deal structuring tasks
Ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally with diverse teams, including Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product
A keen eye for detail in structuring deals, creating pricing models, and reviewing contract terms
Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce), Excel, and pricing tools. Familiarity with pricing optimization software is a plus
Preferred
Preference for someone in the NY Metro area but open to candidates on the east coast
