Equipment Reliability Engineer

The Equipment Reliability Engineer is responsible for managing the reliability and maintainability of A220 Final Assembly Line assets at Airbus Assembly Plant, focusing on risk management, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Identifies and manages asset reliability risks that could adversely affect A220 Final Assembly Line assets or business operations through fault elimination, risk management, life cycle management and performance monitoring
Performs FMEA on critical equipment components, evaluates spare parts requirements, works with the customer to ensure proper levels of safety stock is in place to minimize the risk of excessive downtime
Performs Root Cause Analysis of the equipment failures, creates corrective action plans, updates maintenance plan to improve equipment uptime
Keeps track of the KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), which include, but are not limited to Equipment Availability, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), MTTR (Mean Time to Repair)
Performs analysis of the above KPIs and identifies improvement opportunities
Reports KPIs, communicates opportunities and improvement plans to the customer
Evaluates the effectiveness of the existing maintenance procedures and frequencies, makes recommendations for improvement, and implements them using internal resources
Leads the team of maintenance personnel, identifies training needs and performs or organizes training
Ensures that maintenance procedures and processes are in compliance with all applicable safety, health and environmental regulations

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S) or two-year technical degree required
Five years of related experience and/or training in an equivalent position
Aerospace Automated Assembly Systems, Automotive BIW, Chassis/Glass, Special Welding, etc
Experience working with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
List of needed knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully accomplish the duties and responsibilities of the job
Performs routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed
Reads and understands blueprints, schematics, and/or measuring devices
Behaves consistently and predictably; is reliable, responsible and dependable in fulfilling obligations and diligently follows through on commitments and consistently meets deadlines
Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved
Clear and effective communication skills in both written and spoken forms
Understands how to use the computers, including such tasks as turning the computer on and off, locating and opening files, navigate to websites, perform searches, and download files
Knowledge of computer applications including email, databases, word-processing program and spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Office)
Respond and follow up to a customer's inquiry or problem in a timely and effective manner
Identifies problems and review relevant information to develop options, then implement the solutions
Works effectively with different levels of management, team members and customers
Preferred
Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus
