Coulee Medical Center is seeking a motivated individual to join their Patient Financial Services department. The Patient Financial Services Specialist will help patients navigate the healthcare system, educate them on financial obligations, assist with insurance and financial assistance programs, and manage billing and collections for self-pay balances.

Responsibilities

Helping patients navigate through the complex healthcare system to receive the necessary care while educating patients on their financial obligations
Assisting patients with insurances, third-party assistance programs, and/or financial assistance/charity care
Providing out-of-pocket price estimates for upcoming services/procedures
Billing and collection of self-pay balances on patient accounts
Maintaining positive patient relations
Providing a courteous, compassionate, and positive attitude when working with patients
Being organized, adaptable, and possessing a problem-solving mentality
