Responsibilities

Play a critical role in designing and building cost effective infrastructure for data protection

Innovate, design, and build functionality to achieve industry-leading Service Level Agreement (SLA) in data protection

Work alongside Cloud SQL TLs to drive long-term technical direction

Partner with product managers and engineering managers to define product direction

Collaborate with other GCP teams to drive alignment and requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting

2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture

Experience programming in Java or Go

Experience in the following areas: cloud, Google Cloud Platform, backend, system design, large scale distributed systems, relational databases

Preferred

Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or related technical fields

Experience in one or more of the following areas: disaster recovery, backups, data loss prevention, recovery, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Google infrastructure
