Responsibilities
You will be responsible for developing and implementing software updates that best meet changing customer needs for new and existing features, collaborating with team members, and working in a cross-functional agile scrum team
Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs application software and systems that incorporate logical and mathematical solutions, demonstrating ingenuity and creativity
Support advanced portions of the lifecycle of software development to include requirements definition, integration, and deployment
Apply "systems thinking" to ensure developed products are scalable, maintainable, and meet end-user needs
Collaborates with other software and systems engineers to determine computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems with program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls; prepares operating instructions

Required
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Active Secret Clearance required
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution and 5+ years of relevant experience
Must be able to acquire a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex: Security+ CE) within 60 days from start date
Experience with any of the following: Familiarity with Atlassian and Agile software development practices
Experience developing object-oriented software in C++, C, GoLang, Java, and Python
Experience reading Ada code
Experience with CI/CD best practices, automated builds and tests, quality gates, software quality, and CI tools and pipelines
Familiarity with security coding standards and best practices, and with static and dynamic scanning tools (e.g., SonarQube, Coverity)
Recent experience working with cloud technologies and platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud (GCP)
Experience with Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket
Experience creating unit and system tests
Experience using NUnit
Experience with Moq Framework
Knowledge of SysUML
Preferred
Active CompTIA Security+ Certification
Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance
Prior experience working on Missile Defense programs (Preferably Ground-Based Midcourse Defense)
Familiar with Agile terminology and best practices, and experience using Atlassian Tools
Familiar with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Cameo
Prior experience working with DOORS
Familiar with automated software requirements testing and analysis
Experience with simulation and simulation frameworks
Experience with data reduction tool development
Experience with SQL Databases
Experience with Bamboo, Jenkins, Fortify, Coverity, and SQL Databases
Experience with containers and container development
