Demand Planning Analyst

Tesla is hiring a Service Demand Planner for the Global Service Supply Chain to manage and improve demand forecasting of Vehicle Accessories for the Ecommerce business. This role involves leading demand planning, creating forecasts, analyzing consumption data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability of service parts and accessories.

Responsibilities

Lead for Demand Planning for Vehicle Accessories and New products. Oversee and execute new forecasts in collaboration with the Analytics team and cross-Functional Partners
Create short- and long-term demand forecasts for Service Parts and Vehicle Accessories that helps optimize inventory levels at worldwide distribution centers
Analyze the detailed historical consumption data by channel by region and highlight trends and patterns in consumption by applying advanced Statistical Models and Time Series Analysis
Develop models, tools and refine methodologies to assist in forecast generation and apply advanced supply chain analytics to resolve inefficiencies in demand forecasting process
Manage weekly communication and updates to senior leadership on the progress, performance and trends for new programs
Identify opportunities for forecast accuracy improvement and provide business insights and additional perspectives to Service Supply Chain leadership
Build and lead presentations on forecast performance, accuracy metrics, Root Cause Analysis for deviations to trend to Senior Management and cross functional partners
Collaborate with Material Planning, Field Operations, Inventory Management, NPI, Production Demand Planning, Reliability Engineering, Service Campaigns Teams to gather data and bring information on key business drivers that impact the future demand on Service Parts and Accessories

Required

Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability
2+ years related experience as a planner, analyst or in a technical role within supply chain
2+ years in managing cross-functional projects or programs
Must demonstrate strong mathematical and statistical knowledge relevant to Supply Chain or Operations analytics
Proficiency in MS Excel required
Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks based on demand despite changes in work scope or focus
Passionate and high energy, with strong spoken and written communication skills to positively influence others
Open-minded, collaborative and team-oriented attitude with the ability to think outside the box for solutions to complex challenges

Preferred

Proficiency in ERP/WRP systems
SQL
R/Python programming languages
Data visualization programs such as Tableau or R Shiny
