Akkodis is seeking a Project Engineer for a Direct Hire/Permanent role with one of their industry-leading clients in Omaha, NE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating ideas and creating designs that provide high-quality engineering solutions, while also managing complex engineering tasks and collaborating with project managers.

Responsibilities

Handle complex engineering tasks, including project design, cost estimation, and calculations using advanced expertise

Prepare project documents and ensure work aligns with scope, schedule, and budget

Independently develop new techniques, coordinate with Company's teams, and guide others on design tasks

Collaborate with project managers to report progress and identify challenges

Assist with scopes and schedules as well as attend client meetings

May supervise and provide technical guidance to less experienced staff

Provide guidance related largely to overall objectives, critical issues, and new concepts

Maintain project and client information in the firm’s project management system

May travel and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions at project sites in various stages of construction

Required

Professional engineering license (PE)

Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering

6 years or more of engineering experience

Experience in stormwater and water resources

Strong communication skills

Ability to contribute and work well with a team

Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Ability to represent Company in a professional manner at all times

Preferred

Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, master planning, stream restoration, or stormwater design is a plus
