Mid-Level Interior Designer

Genesis Interior Design is a boutique, purpose-driven interior design studio dedicated to creating meaningful, transformative spaces. The Mid-Level Interior Designer will support projects from programming through construction documents and manage client presentations while growing into a leadership role within the studio.

Responsibilities

Support projects from programming through construction documents, developing space plans, concepts, finish palettes, and presentation materials while producing high-quality drawings, elevations, details, and FFE specifications in AutoCAD
Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors; reviews shop drawings and submittals; conducts site visits; and maintains clear, accurate project documentation and schedules
Assist in client presentations, communicate design ideas with clarity and empathy
Manage expectations, timelines, and design budgets
Grow as a leader in the studio, oversee portions of projects, and provide thoughtful feedback to support the overall success of each project

Required

6–8+ years of experience in both conceptual + technical interior design (must)
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design
Proficiency in AutoCAD (required) — able to produce DD/CD drawings independently
MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative, SketchUp proficient
Strong aesthetic judgment & space-planning ability
Strong time management, reliability, and consistency
Can manage multiple projects and deadlines without losing accuracy
Humble, diplomatic, and professional communication — written + verbal
Organized, systems-oriented, and teachable
Solution-oriented with an “everything is possible” mindset
Collaborative team player with leadership potential
Loves design as a mission, not just a job — aligned with purpose-driven work

Preferred

Liturgical experience is a plus, but not required
