Responsibilities

Serve as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the agency and is responsible to plan, organize, and achieve short-term and long-range information technology strategies and initiatives consistent with statewide direction
Lead 10 IT professionals to elevate the organization's technology capability through excellent customer service, strong technical execution, and forward-thinking solutions
Bring expertise, lead key projects, influence technology decisions, and help build a reliable, secure, and innovative technology foundation

Required

Six (6) years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience
OR-
Three (3) years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field
Extensive knowledge of information technology practices and processes, specifically as it relates to application development, data security, IT governance, and infrastructure management
Ability to design and implement an effective IT framework that standardizes how technology projects are evaluated, prioritized, and managed
Skilled at assessing organizational needs and developing clear methodologies for project intake, governance, and execution to ensure consistency and alignment with strategic goals
Ability to lead with vision, set clear strategic direction, and drive technology initiatives across the agency with demonstrated experience empowering staff and fostering a culture of accountability and growth
Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively at all levels, and to build and maintain strong working relationships within the agency and across the enterprise
Experience in strategic planning with demonstrated ability to manage change and varied resources, think innovatively, and remain flexible with rapidly changing technologies
Ability to evaluate complex technology challenges, identify opportunities, and develop effective, data-informed solutions
Demonstrated strength in managing customer needs and translating into actional plans that support long-term organizational goals
Exceptional customer service orientation, ensuring responsive, customer-focused support for all users
Knowledge of Information Technology vendor management, purchasing, asset management, and inventory methods, procedures, and controls
