The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for interacting with suppliers to secure contracts for high-quality supplies and services, managing the contract process, and achieving cost reduction and standardization in the Supply Chain Management department.

Responsibilities

Support the strategic sourcing team of the Supply Chain Management department

Interact with suppliers to secure contracts for cost-effective, high quality supplies and services for assigned categories

Work through the various phases of the contract management process including: creating request for proposal, reviewing’s solicitations, and preparing routine response for proposals, bids, and contract modifications

Analyze contract requirements, terms and conditions to ensure compliance at all levels

Draft and negotiate contractual instruments

Prepare, organize, and maintain contract records and files

Utilize the process improvement, decision-making and value analysis processes including clinical efficacy, safety and the impact on organizational resources for Supply Chain Management to achieve network-wide cost reduction and standardization in cooperation with the Network Expense Teams (NET)

Perform other duties as assigned

Develop and implement contract strategies using Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), bid and GOP processes

Review supply benchmarks to identify price targets

Negotiate contract rates for assigned supply categories

Monitor non-catalog supply spend for identification of contract opportunities
