Occupational Therapist - Contract

Blackbird Health is a clinician-founded organization dedicated to providing mental health services for children and young adults. The Occupational Therapist will conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans while collaborating with other providers to support emotional and developmental needs.

Responsibilities

Complete a set number (minimum 6 per week) of 60-minute occupational therapy evaluations (direct clinical service), with 30-minute documentation time (non-direct clinical service)
Identify candidates for short-term, focused OT treatment programs and conduct 30-minute treatment sessions as clinically indicated
Participate in weekly team meetings (approximately 30 minutes per week)
Maintain a clinical schedule that includes a combination of morning and evening evaluation times (8–10 am and 3–7 pm) and weekday/weekend availability (preference for candidates with weekend availability)
This position will primarily focus on weekday evaluations after 3 pm EST and/or weekend evaluations

Required

Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university
Valid Pennsylvania state license in Occupational Therapy
At least two years of experience providing occupational therapy services in a pediatric or multidisciplinary setting
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment
Proficient in navigating electronic medical record systems and related technology
Commitment to evidence-based practice and continued professional development
Ability to maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations
Flexibility and initiative to adapt in a dynamic, innovative work environment
Receptive to clinical feedback and committed to professional growth
