Start in 2026 SummerThe Dallas Morning News is seeking a Local News Summer Intern to assist with various reporting tasks focused on events in and around North Texas. Interns will gain hands-on multimedia and cross-platform storytelling experience while working alongside award-winning journalists in a collaborative newsroom.

Take smartphone photos and video
Actively use social media in the news-gathering process
Qualification
Preferred
Must be enrolled in college and working toward a degree (associate's, bachelor's, master's, or doctorate) or have graduated within six months prior to the internship start date
Reliable transportation is strongly preferred
Must include a cover letter, résumé with references, and 3–5 published clips. Applicants may also include 1–2 photos or a short video sample to showcase visual or multimedia storytelling
Samples must be legible and clearly labeled; incomplete applications will not be considered
