Admit patients and process their paperwork

Update patient demographics/information in the system

Answer incoming phone calls

Greet patients

Check in patients

Filing

Provides back up support for business office

Schedules procedures

Registers patients

Calculates charges

Verifies insurance

Collects deposits as necessary

Prepares appropriate documents

Assists business office duties as needed

Answers telephone and either responds to inquiry or directs caller to appropriate personnel

Schedules patients using Advantx with a high rate of accuracy

Provides exemplary customer service

Treats patients and coworkers with courtesy and discretion

Greets and directs patients, sales people and visitors

Registers patients by verifying that patient’s record is up to date and accurate

Makes appropriate changes in computer system and on patient’s chart

Complies with federal and local laws in ensuring patient privacy

Collects payment from patients

Applies payments and adjustments to patient accounts in the computer system

Reviews medical records for completeness

Assembles records into standard order

Files records in designated areas according to filing systems

Required

High school graduate or equivalent

Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment that are required to fulfill job duties

Good communication skills
