Senior Corporate Procurement Agent 1225
Nexus IT Group is seeking a Senior Corporate Procurement Agent to support enterprise-wide purchasing by overseeing the acquisition of goods and services across the organization. This role manages the full procurement lifecycle, partners with cross-functional teams, and serves as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with procurement processes and standards.

Responsibilities
Develop, issue, and manage Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP)
Support business teams in drafting statements of work, service agreements, and related procurement documents with minimal supervision
Lead supplier evaluation and selection efforts
Perform cost and price analyses of vendor proposals
Manage and execute contract negotiations to achieve favorable commercial terms
Build strong working relationships with internal partners to ensure timely engagement and alignment with organizational objectives and procurement standards
Maintain and grow supplier relationships while identifying and onboarding new vendors as appropriate
Identify opportunities to optimize spend and deliver cost savings on a project and portfolio basis
Develop and implement sourcing strategies to maximize value
Ensure accurate and complete procurement documentation
Reconcile project and contract costs to confirm adherence to approved budgets
Lead and manage vendor sourcing initiatives, including: Creating and issuing RFIs/RFPs, Reviewing pricing models, contractual terms, and conditions, Providing sourcing recommendations to stakeholders, Negotiating pricing and contract language to balance value and risk
Collaborate with internal teams such as Operations, Legal, and Finance to ensure procurement activities align with organizational policies and strategic goals
Track and report on project timelines and cost performance
Provide guidance and informal mentorship to peers as needed
Occasional domestic and international travel may be required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field required
5–7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or a related function
Hands-on experience analyzing and negotiating a variety of contract structures (e.g., fixed-price, cost-reimbursable, time and materials)
Experience working with enterprise purchasing or financial systems
Working knowledge of general accounting principles
Strong analytical capability with demonstrated success in cost and pricing analysis
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Proven ability to independently manage projects from initiation through completion
Effective negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders
Sound judgment and ability to make decisions within established policies and guidelines
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working independently
Ability to remain composed and adaptable when faced with competing demands or shifting priorities
Preferred
Master's degree (MBA)
ERP experience
Exposure to indirect or corporate services procurement
