Director of Business Development, Social Commerce
Podean is a multi-award-winning global marketplace marketing agency, and they are seeking a Director of Business Development for their LiveCraft division. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, building relationships with clients, and managing the inbound pipeline to drive growth within the social commerce sector.

Responsibilities
Proactively prospect and network - digitally and IRL - to identify and cultivate new brand relationships
Represent LiveCraft at conferences, industry events, and client-side meetups
Generate warm introductions for the team to qualify and close
Build and nurture relationships with pitch consultants and strategic partners
Become a trusted ambassador of LiveCraft, clearly articulating our differentiators and values
Drive qualified prospects through the pipeline and toward close as efficiently as possible
Lead follow-ups after introductory calls, including sending capabilities, case studies, and custom decks
Craft bespoke proposals by diagnosing client needs and collaborating cross-functionally to build winning narratives
Prioritize and pursue high-potential prospects
Negotiate scopes, pricing, and terms in collaboration with the LiveCraft Managing Director
Draft SOWs and facilitate MSAs alongside the leadership team
Handoff newly won accounts to LiveCraft account management teams
Maintain momentum with inbound and outbound pipelines, including periodic follow-ups with lapsed or 'on-hold' leads
Execute targeted cold outreach to priority brands in partnership with leadership
Identify and activate new ways for LiveCraft to drive awareness and generate demand
Collaborate closely with Marketing on awareness and demand-generation initiatives
Partner with leadership and Marketing to develop compelling, pitch-winning case studies that showcase LiveCraft’s impact across use cases
Feed insights back to internal teams on prospect needs, market trends, and competitive landscape
Manage and track outbound pipeline using Pipedrive (CRM)
Report weekly on outreach activity, meetings secured, and opportunities advanced
Partner with Finance and Inbound New Business teams on forecasting and conversion metrics
Qualification
Required
6+ years of experience in sales roles within a social or media agency, or a social / e-commerce platform
2+ years of direct sales experience on TikTok Shop (US)
Familiarity with TikTok Shop market maturity and strategies across regions such as Mexico, Brazil, and the UK
Proven track record of generating new business through proactive networking, prospecting, and storytelling
Strong understanding of social, e-commerce, TikTok, and influencer marketing ecosystems
Established network of brand and marketing-leader relationships
Skilled storyteller and communicator, comfortable engaging CMOs and senior stakeholders
HubSpot fluency
A natural leader who takes initiative, is highly detail-oriented, and thinks big-picture
Passion for social trends, influencer culture, and creator communities
