Responsibilities
Carry out operational risk assessments across the various departments within the commodities business, partnering with key stakeholders with the identification of risks and mitigating controls in their business units
Analysing identified trends in key risk indicators and recommending controls to prevent a repeat of risk events
Updating local operational risk policies to ensure best practice
Preparation of risk and compliance reports for board reporting
Provide ongoing training to the business, and staff induction regarding operational risk
Qualification
Required
Educated to at least a Bachelors degree
Minimum of 10 years of experience acting in an Operational Risk role capacity
Background in internal audit/assurance
In-depth understanding of commodities products, ideally with coverage of energy trading and LNG
Understanding of the US regulatory environment
Strong experience in controls testing
Effective manager of senior stakeholder relationships
Ability to see projects through to the end
Strong report writing and communication skills
