Responsibilities
Design and implement end-to-end Power BI solutions tailored to specific business requirements
Develop complex data models using DAX to solve sophisticated business problems
Create intuitive, interactive dashboards that effectively communicate key business insights
Implement efficient ETL processes using Power Query for data preparation and transformation
Optimize performance of Power BI reports and data models for enterprise-scale solutions
Consult with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications
Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for existing Power BI implementations
Train client teams on Power BI and DAX fundamentals to ensure knowledge transfer
Implement data governance and security protocols within Power BI environments
Establish reporting frameworks and best practices for sustainable analytics
Document technical specifications and create user guides for implemented solutions
Stay current with Power BI updates and incorporate new features into client solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in related field (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.)
4+ years of experience with Microsoft Power BI development
Advanced knowledge of DAX and data modeling
Advanced knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Service, and Mobile applications
DAX formula mastery for complex calculations and time intelligence functions
Star schema and dimensional modeling for optimized data structures
Power Query (M language) for advanced data transformations
Implementation of row-level security and proper governance protocols
SQL for data extraction and manipulation
Tabular modeling in Analysis Services (SSAS)
Experience with DirectQuery and Composite models
Knowledge of Power BI REST API for automation
Proven track record of successful implementations
