The Director of Grant Strategy and Institutional Funding is responsible for designing, executing, and overseeing the full lifecycle of institutional funding, ensuring that non-dilutive capital supports Klaritee’s long-term strategy and governance posture.

Responsibilities
Developing a coherent, multi-year non-dilutive funding strategy aligned with Klaritee’s technical roadmap and governance model
Mapping and monitoring relevant programs (e.g., SBIR/STTR, DoD, NSF, DARPA, DHS, DOE, NIH, and university-led initiatives)
Evaluating which opportunities advance institutional positioning versus those that introduce distraction or credibility risk
Sequencing applications so early wins enable larger, more strategic awards
Coordinating and structuring collaborations with universities and research institutions
Coordinating and structuring collaborations with government agencies and public-sector stakeholders
Coordinating and structuring collaborations with prime contractors and consortium leads
Coordinating and structuring collaborations with nonprofits, foundations, and policy-adjacent organizations
Working with engineering and research leads to extract accurate, defensible technical narratives
Coordinating with legal and governance leadership to ensure compliance, disclosure integrity, and contractual clarity
Maintaining consistency between grant language, public messaging, and actual system capabilities
Compliance with reporting, milestone, and audit requirements
Oversight of deliverables, timelines, and spend integrity
Relationship management with funding entities throughout the award lifecycle
Qualification
Required
Experience in designing, executing, and overseeing institutional funding strategies
Ability to identify high-leverage funding opportunities
Experience structuring partnerships and coordinating submissions
Knowledge of post-award compliance and integrity
Experience leading funding strategy across multiple institutional domains
Ability to develop a coherent, multi-year non-dilutive funding strategy
Experience mapping and monitoring relevant funding programs
Sound judgment in evaluating funding opportunities
Experience coordinating and structuring collaborations with universities, research institutions, government agencies, and nonprofits
Ability to serve as a translation layer between technical, legal, and governance teams
Experience maintaining consistency between grant language, public messaging, and actual system capabilities
Experience in post-award execution and stewardship
Ability to manage relationships with funding entities throughout the award lifecycle
High standard of accuracy, restraint, and institutional discipline
Strong judgment about when not to pursue funding
Ability to translate complex systems without exaggeration
Respect for compliance, auditability, and long-term credibility
