Responsibilities

Perform and may oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of projects

Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings

May lead a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to execute structural designs

Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design

Interest and ability to advance to a senior engineer or project manager position

Required

B.S. degree in Civil or Structural engineering required

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with the structural design of buildings or similar structures

Registration as a P.E. required

Experience with computer analysis software systems

Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills

Comfortable consulting to architectural practices

Ability to build and maintain a strong team of professionals and support staff within a cooperative multidiscipline office performing at a high level of satisfaction to clients

Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities

Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills
