Responsibilities
Overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, scholarships and financial aid, cash handling, accounts payable, travel accounting, contracts, grants administration, operations, and human resources
Identify, implement, and adhere to best business and financial practices for the College
Work collaboratively with Law administrators, faculty, staff, and students, key partners on campus including Chief Academic Business Officers (CABO), and the Big Red Business Center (BRBC)
Provides interpretation on the appropriateness of expenditures, contracts, and grant compliance with business and finance policies and procedures of the College, the University and the NU Foundation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, education, finance, counseling, or a related field
Three years of relevant professional accounting or finance experience
Extensive experience utilizing Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of large integrated financial management systems is essential
Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, One Drive, Teams, SharePoint, and Access, and SAP
Working knowledge of grants/contracts, general accounting and budgeting principle, personnel and payroll practices
Knowledge of federal financial aid regulations and compliance standards
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
Preferred
Master's degree (or other advanced degree) in a relevant field strongly preferred
