Responsibilities
Program, setup, and operate 5-Axis CNC milling machines independently
Create efficient, reliable toolpaths from prints and 3D CAD models
Develop and optimize programs using Mastercam (multi-axis strategies required)
Select tooling, fixturing, and machining strategies for complex geometries
Interpret and apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5) to meet tight tolerances
Perform first article inspections and validate processes
Troubleshoot machining issues and refine programs for quality and cycle time
Contribute to continuous improvement in machining methods and workflows
Collaborate with other departments to support repair and manufacturing projects
Qualification
Required
Strong working knowledge of GD&T (ANSI/ASME Y14.5)
Advanced CAM programming experience (Mastercam preferred)
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD models
Proven ability to machine high-tolerance, multi-surface parts
Strong problem-solving skills and process intuition
Excellent attention to detail and quality mindset
Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, job-shop environment
Preferred
5+ years CNC machining experience
3+ years programming and running 5-Axis mills
Experience with manual machining (Bridgeport or equivalent)
CAD/CAM modeling experience (Mastercam or similar)
