Mechanical Engineer - Fire Protection
Jensen Hughes is a leader in fire protection engineering and is seeking Mechanical Engineers in their Baltimore, MD and Washington DC area offices. The role involves designing mechanical and fire safety systems, preparing technical reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
Design of mechanical, fire safety, and specialty engineering systems, including fire alarm and detection systems, mass notification, fire suppression, smoke control, and special hazard systems
Prepare and present technical reports and presentations
Review design and construction submittals for compliance with regulatory requirements, including building code reviews and analyses
Perform site surveys to inspect and evaluate building features and systems
Plan and direct engineering activities for projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Fire Protection, or related engineering field
5+ years of experience in design and layout of mechanical or specialty engineering systems
Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills
Revit or AutoCAD experience
Ability to present clear and technically sound engineering strategies and good communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, enjoy professional challenges, and endeavor to be an integral part of the long-term growth of Jensen Hughes
Preferred
Professional engineering registration preferred
Ability or desire to manage/lead projects preferred
