Development Intern - 2026
The Contemporary American Theater Festival at Shepherd University is seeking a Development Intern to support its mission of producing contemporary plays. The intern will provide excellent customer service, assist with donor communication, and participate in various development-related tasks while working closely with the Director of Development.

Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service and radical hospitality to festival artists, guests, patrons, and donors
Communicate with donors
Assist with record keeping
Work with donor information in Spektrix
Conduct development-related research for projects
Help prepare for hospitality and talktheater events
Participate in grant fulfillment and reporting
Participate as a member of CATF’s Audience Services Team as needed
Qualification
Required
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to provide excellent customer service and radical hospitality
Ability to communicate with donors
Ability to assist with record keeping
Ability to work with donor information in Spektrix
Ability to conduct development-related research for projects
Ability to help prepare for hospitality and talktheater events
Ability to participate in grant fulfillment and reporting
Ability to work collaboratively as a team player
Positive and flexible attitude
Eager to learn
Value and practice Anti-Racist and Anti-Oppressive (ARAO) efforts
Preferred
Proficiency with or an interest in learning the Microsoft Office Suite
Proficiency with or an interest in learning Google Workspace
Proficiency with or an interest in learning ticketing and CRM software
