Manager, Revenue Strategy & Operations

World Surf League is a company focused on driving growth and operational efficiency across various revenue streams. The Manager, Revenue Strategy & Operations will support commercial activities and manage partnerships to enhance revenue generation.

Responsibilities

Developing sponsorship and advertising sales materials, proposals and packages in collaboration with the sales team and Senior Leadership Team
Managing sales research, CRM and analytics projects and vendor relationships; providing prospect and sales research to support global sales efforts; leveraging available data resources to create impactful storylines
Supporting WSL’s merchandise business, including ecommerce operations on WSLStore.com, standing up pop-up retail executions, and
Supporting WSL’s licensing partnerships, servicing licensees with requests for data, resources, information and approvals
Managing commercial partnerships, relationships and duties as assigned across other WSL revenue streams including ticket sales, concessions, media rights, etc

Required

Bachelor's degree required
2+ years of relevant work experience with a League, team, brand, management consultancy or media/entertainment company
Proven ability to be a project lead for multiple projects/clients simultaneously
Experience managing individuals with the ability to inspire their growth and development
Demonstrated ability to work in a highly-collaborative environment
Service mentality; team player
Clear and effective copywriting and proofreading abilities, with high attention to detail
Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects while being responsive to the needs of the division and peers, be able to prioritize effectively and exercise flexibility as needed
Knowledge and understanding of sports and entertainment industries
Strong research and analytical skills
Comfort with learning new technology and tools
Ability to identify and solve problems creatively
Self-motivated and self-directed
Positive outlook and culture builder; team player
Highly responsive and accessible, with the flexibility to work nights and weekends if needed
Passion for sports marketing, media, promotions, and sponsorship sales

Preferred

Experience with Shopify a plus
Experience with Salesforce, KORE and other CRM tools is a plus
Experience with Google Ad Manager, Meta Ads Manager, and similar tools a plus
Experience working internationally; fluency in additional languages is a plus
Experience in sales or sales support a plus
High level of familiarity with surfing and surf culture is a plus
Client-facing experience or a project management background is a plus
