PCCC Leadership Development VISTA Fellow
AmeriCorps is seeking a Leadership Development VISTA Fellow for Passaic County Community College (PCCC), which is dedicated to providing high-quality educational programs. The role involves developing and implementing leadership training programs, engaging with campus partners, and promoting student success through effective leadership initiatives.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Research/disseminate best practices in leadership development and training for students
Develop a comprehensive leadership training program for program mentors/volunteers, with an emphasis on cultural awareness, competence, effective communication, and conflict resolution
Engage campus partners in facilitating leadership training seminars, including culturally responsive leadership training, for program mentors and volunteers
Monitor participation of members of MOCSI, program ambassadors, and other PCCC students in leadership development workshops and non-service student engagement events
Document/evaluate leadership development workshops and other non-service student engagement events
Work with staff to apply for funding to ensure program sustainability
Help organize leadership summits
Provide monthly progress reports & participate in program evaluation
Participate in training/ professional development activities; and
Serve on campus committees
