NTN Bearing Corporation is looking for an IB HT Set-Up Technician to manage the set-up and start-up of production jobs. The technician will be responsible for maintaining process integrity and collaborating with various departments to optimize production cycles and quality.

Responsibilities

Maintains cycle process integrity with the direction of the production supervisor

Works with support department to ensure tools, machines and processes are optimized

Recommends and implements changes and improvements to cycles, processes and procedures to maintain schedules and quality parts

Maintain documentation and paperwork to support production cycles and procedures

Works directly with process technicians to suggest improvements in processes and procedures

Works with machine operators to improve current processes and procedures

Performs set-ups, samples and other production related duties to maintain production schedules

Assists with training as necessary

Ability to read machine dial gauges, blueprints and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts

Follow safety policies and report unsafe working conditions

Any other duties assigned by supervisor, such as operating production line

Required

3 - 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment dealing with the operation of CNC equipment

High School Diploma

Ability to read machine dial gauges, blueprints and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts

Excellent verbal & written communications skills

Good problem solving skills

Capable of learning various software

Good Vision: Ability to inspect machinery, read blueprints, and spot small issues or wear

Manual Dexterity and Hand-Eye Coordination: Skill with tools for assembly, calibration, and equipment adjustment

Physical Strength and Stamina: Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment

Adaptability to Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in varying temperatures, noisy environments, and confined spaces

Technical Knowledge: Understanding of machine operation, troubleshooting, and setup

Attention to Detail: Careful machine setup, inspection, and calibration to ensure safety and quality

Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Diagnose issues quickly and adjust to unexpected changes in production

Manual Dexterity and Spatial Awareness: Manage multiple tasks, requiring coordination and multitasking abilities

Preferred

Familiarity of metrics, blueprint reading, micrometers, calipers, Rockwell and induction preferred

Prior experience with set-up of gauging and programmable automation helpful

Prior technical training desired
