Payroll Assistant

Neighborhood Healthcare is seeking a Payroll Assistant to support payroll processing functions. The role involves assisting staff with payroll inquiries, correcting timesheet errors, and generating payroll reports.

Responsibilities

Provides support for semi-monthly payroll processing functions within the Paylocity Payroll system
Assists managers and staff by answering payroll and timesheet related questions via phone and email
Assists with reviewing and correcting timesheets with errors, including working with managers for clarifications and corrections to timesheet information
Sends reminders to staff regarding unapproved timesheets
Submits payroll check requisitions for check reprints and checks related to payroll processing
Performs retro salary change calculations
Distributes physical payroll checks as required
Generates and perform analysis on payroll related reports

Required

High school/GED required
One year payroll related experience required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing and proofreading skills
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Knowledgeable about and experience using Microsoft Applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent planning and organizational ability
Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner
Ability to lift/carry 10 lbs/weight
Ability to stand for long periods of time
