INSTRUCTOR OF ACCOUNTING

Northwestern State University School of Business is seeking an individual for a full-time 9-month position as an Instructor of Accounting. The role involves teaching accounting courses, maintaining office hours, advising students, and participating in program development and professional service activities.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Teach 15 credit hours of accounting courses
Maintain office hours
Advise/counsel students
Serve on various committees
Assist in program development
Meet School of Business defined AACSB professional or scholarly qualifications
Participate in professional service activities within the college, university, or above
Other duties as assigned by the Director of the School of Business

Qualification

Master's in AccountingCertified Public Accountant (CPA)Higher Education Teaching ExperienceKnowledge in AccountingCommunication Skills

Required

Master's in accounting, business administration, or closely related field required
Applicants should possess extensive knowledge in accounting
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred

Certified Public Accounting (CPA) Licensure preferred
Documented higher education teaching experience is preferred
Preference given to applicants with demonstrated higher education teaching experience in accounting courses
Higher education teaching using a variety of technologies
Documented record of higher education teaching performance in both face-to-face and online classes
