Responsibilities

Working in an active and dynamic practice that touches all aspects of litigation including discovery, depositions, motions practice, and trial
Handling assigned cases with autonomy while accessing the knowledge and experience of seasoned litigators
Conducting research and applying laws, court decisions, and rules of evidence and procedure in order to defend clients and reach a successful resolution of each matter
Working collaboratively and cooperatively with paralegals, legal practice assistants and staff
Willing to travel for court appearances and other proceedings as necessary

Required

Federal clerkship is required
Candidates must be licensed in South Carolina
Candidates with two years of litigation experience and a strong desire to work in a fast-paced litigation practice are preferred
Successful candidates will possess strong written and oral advocacy skills and excellent interpersonal skills
The ideal candidate is both a team player and a self-starter, seeking increasing levels of responsibility
The successful candidate have the skill, knowledge, and ability to conduct research and apply laws, court decisions, and rules of evidence and procedure in order to defend clients and reach a successful resolution of each matter
The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively and cooperatively with paralegals, legal practice assistants and staff
Candidates must be willing to travel for court appearances, and other proceedings as necessary
