Responsibilities

Lead and inspire a team of backend engineers, championing quality and ownership in everything they ship
Stay hands-on: architect, review, and contribute to scalable backend services
Shape technical strategy alongside product and design leadership
Guide your team through development lifecycles-from planning and estimation to deployment and iteration
Promote production readiness and operational excellence across cloud-based systems
Recruit top talent and plan for long-term team capacity

Required

4+ years managing engineering teams and delivering production-grade software
Deep expertise in node.js, distributed systems, and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)
Proven ability to balance team leadership with technical contributions

Collaborative spirit with a drive to push technical boundaries

Preferred

Building B2C or social products at scale
Experience with search infrastructure (Elasticsearch, vector DBs) or ML-driven personalization
Working in data-rich, high-volume environments
